John W. Sutherlin, the father of Mrs. Leland Gooding, died in Culver Hospital on Tuesday morning. He was taken there after suffering injuries in a car accident on Sunday morning. He was alone at the time his car overturned on the Morton road near the Charles Sutherlin place. He was the son of John W. and Amanda Grimes SUtherlin and was born near Russellville Feb 4, 1865 and most of his life was spent in the same locality. Mrs. Sutherlin died February 27, 1939. There are surviving three daughters, Mrs. Leland Gooding, Mrs. Donneth Yount of Plymouth and Mrs. Bertha McGaughey of Russellville. Funeral services on Wednesday afternoon at the McGaughey funeral parlors was in charge of Rev C.I. Airhart. Burial in Russellville Cemetery. -- kbz
